Abstract

We are concerned with the one dimensional linear wave equation with Dirichlet boundary condition and Neumann boundary control. It has been shown numerically that this hyperbolic partial differential equation can be stabilized by instantaneous control, i.e. model predictive control with the shortest feasible prediction and optimization horizon. Our contribution is the complete theoretical analysis.
