Abstract

Centriole disengagement is defined as the spatial separation of centrioles during late mitosis and is thought to act as a licensing step for their duplication in the following cell cycle. This work is focused on the relative contribution of proteolytical inactivation of centrosomal Cohesin and Pericentrin to centriole disengagement.
