Abstract

Dr. Ram Prasad Awal reflektiert seine Lehrtätigkeit im Fachbereich Organische Chemie (Lebensmittelchemie) an der Universität Bayreuth und beschreibt die Chancen und Herausforderungen, die sich beim Einsatz eines digitalen Übersichtsboards (Padlet) im Rahmen der Lehrveranstaltung „Lebensmittelchemie und -analytik 2024“ ergeben. Das Ziel des Lehrprojekts was es, die Organisation und das inhaltliche Verständnis der Studierenden durch die zentrale Bereitstellung aller Materialen zu verbessern. Durch eine strukturierte Lehrplanung und die Integration von Padlet konnten die Beteiligung und Motivation der Studierenden erhöht werden, jedoch gab es anfangs Unsicherheiten aufgrund der späten Einführung des Padlets. Herr Awal betont die positiven Erfahrungen und plant, digitale Plattformen künftig noch gezielter zu optimieren und frühzeitiger in der Lehre einzusetzen.

Dr Ram Prasad Awal reflects on his teaching activities in the Department of Organic Chemistry (Food Chemistry) at the University of Bayreuth and describes the opportunities and challenges that arise when using a digital overview board (Padlet) in the course ‘Food Chemistry and Analysis 2024’. The aim of the teaching project was to improve the organisation and understanding of the content by providing all materials in a central location. Structured lesson planning and the integration of Padlet increased student participation and motivation, but there was some uncertainty at the beginning due to the late introduction of Padlet. Mr Awal emphasises the positive experiences and plans to optimise digital platforms even more specifically in the future and to use them earlier in teaching.
