Abstract
A cross-cultural analysis of Chile and the Philippines focusing on the use of comics doing and discussing history and society (with a minor comparison to Peru). Looking first at comics in the later 20th century in the three countries and their role in times of dictatorship, inter alia to counter or (re)produce intersectional dimensions. Secondly, the role of comics to discuss, narrate and (re)do history, and at times (re)do society in an intersectional way, in the three countries afterwards, until about the early 2020s, is analyzed and discussed. Both perspectives are brought together in a final step.
