Abstract

HDPE-iPP Blockcopolymere können als Phasenvermittler für unmischbare Polyolefinblends eingesetzt werden. In dieser Arbeit werden neuartige Syntheserouten für unterschiedliche Typen von HDPE-iPP Blockcopolymeren vorgestellt. Durch die koordinative Kettentransferpolymerisation kann eine außergewöhnlich hohe Effizienz bei gleichzeitig hoher Kontrolle über die Polymerarchitektur bei der Polymerisation erreicht werden. Es wurden HDPE-iPP Diblockcopolymere und iPP-g-HDPE Graftcopolymere hergestellt, in ihrer Wirkung als Phasenvermittler untersucht und Konzepte für die Phasenvermittlung aufgestellt.

HDPE-iPP block copolymers can be used as compatibilizers for immiscible polyolefin blends. In this work, novel synthesis routes for different types of HDPE-iPP block copolymers are presented. Coordinative chain transfer polymerization can achieve exceptionally high efficiency with high control over the polymer architecture during polymerization. HDPE-iPP diblock copolymers and iPP-g-HDPE graft copolymers were produced, their effect as compatibilizers was investigated and concepts for the compatibilization mechanisms were developed.
