Abstract
Abstract in another language
The four megatrends CASE (Connected Car, Autonomous Car, Shared Mobility and Electric Car) represent a fundamentally new form of use of the automobile. This form of use is not only CO2-neutral, but also promises a better utilization of vehicles. The question arises as to what potential effects these four megatrends will have on Germany's economy. In this context eight hypotheses were developed, with the help of which the influence of fully automated and electric carsharing-fleets (CASE-fleets) on the following areas were examined: Fleet size, parking situation, vehicle occupancy rate, cost structure, competitiveness of public transport providers, car production development, developments on labor market and number of electric vehicles.
