Abstract

Die Frage, in welchem Verhältnis mediale Adaptionen literarischer Werke zu ihren Vorlagen stehen, wird seit Jahrzehnten kontrovers diskutiert. Dabei steht gerade die Debatte über das sogenannte Regietheater im Brennpunkt einer fortwährenden Diskussion und lässt sich bibliographisch kaum mehr überblicken. Ziel dieser Arbeit war es, die These von einem durchweg willkürlichen und abstrahierenden Umgang mit der dramatischen Vorlage im deutschen Gegenwartstheater zu widerlegen und anhand ausgewählter Inszenierungen das Primat des Textes für zeitgenössische mediale Adaptionen zu beweisen.

The matter of the relation between the literary drama and his medial adaption ist discussed in a hughe and controvers way for decades. Particularly the controversy about the so-called Regietheater is the front focus of a constantly discussion, which is biographical barely possible to review. The purpose of this project was, to disprove the theses of a consistently arbitrary and abstract handling with the dramatic artwork in the contemporary german theatre and to prove the primacy oft he literary text for modern medial adaptions on stage, on the basis of selected stagings.
